“When God created mankind, He created both male and female. He started with two complete single human beings and made a family. Then, God performed the first wedding ceremony. Following their marriage, it is recorded that they had sons (and we assume daughters).
The establishment of the family begins with a man and woman. God tells mankind to reflect His image and to replicate by giving birth to children. God then tells us that we are to rule the earth as a family under His sovereignty. This is God’s definition of family. The role of Government is never to redefine what family is, but simply to support and protect what God has established.
As we head into this new year, let us return to God’s view of the Family and worship Him for what He has done. For the next 3-4 weeks, we will be looking at God’s Sovereign rein over the world and His purpose and establishment of marriage, and family as He has defined it.”
