ChristWay Church Huntsville is hosting a community Trunk-Or-Treat on Halloween night! Anyone and everyone is encouraged to attend. Sure, it gives an alternative place to bring your kids to get some candy and dress up, but more importantly, it gives them a safe and uplifting place to spend their Halloween. The night will include an entire row of carnival games with prizes and candy to be earned, decorated trunks giving out candy, costumes, hay rides, contests open to the public, and a movie at the end of the night out on the lawn.
Why spend your night roaming house to house when you could have a safe, fun, and uplifting night with us? Come join us!
Trunk Decoration Contest
Anyone can enter!
Trunks can be from any automobile type.
Trunks must be something appropriate for a church event. No evil or illicit decorations will be accepted.
Bring candy to give! You don’t have to stay at your trunk the whole night but take some time for the kids.
Trunks will be graded by a 3-person panel who do not have trunks. They will grade on creativity, aesthetics, and impression.
Your trunk must be set up by at least 5:45 to be considered.
Please notify us if you plan on doing a trunk so we can make sure we have plenty of room. Email Ben Coleman at benonai800@gmail.com

Costume Contest
Anyone can enter!
Costumes must be appropriate for a church event. No evil or illicit costumes will be accepted.
Costumes will be graded by a 3-person panel who are not participating. They will grade on creativity, aesthetics, and impression.
You must be in costume and present at 645 to be considered.
No prior registration is necessary. Come one, come all.
The costume award will be a
$75 Amazon Gift Card!
Pumpkin Carving Contest
Anyone can enter!
Pumpkins must be something appropriate for a church event. No evil or illicit decorations will be accepted.
Pumpkins will be graded by a 3-person panel who are not participating. They will grade on creativity, aesthetics, and technical skill.
Your pumpkin must be present by at least 6:45 to be considered.
The pumpkin carving award will be a

THE PIE BAKING Contest
Anyone can enter!
Any type of pie will be considered.
There must be at least enough for 3 judges to taste. We will provide at plates and cutlery.
Baked goods will be graded by a 3-person panel who are not participating. They will grade how good it looks, how good it smells, and how good it tastes!
Your baked good must be turned in by at least 6:30 to be considered.
The BAKING award will be a
$50 Williams & Sonoma Gift Card!
Carnival! Carnival!
We will have lots and lots of fun carnival games, easy for the little ones, and more challenging for the larger ones! Winning games will win you fun and silly prizes. The more you play, the better prizes you might get!
Want to play some stuff with your friends without the stress of prizes on the line? We got you. There will be several games set up for you to relax and play with your friends. Hang out, have fun, and share good company with us.
Dinner? We've got you covered!
We want you to stick around and get to know you, so we are preparing some food to keep you going!
We will be providing hot dogs, chips, and drinks free for everyone who comes out (along with all the candy…). Each person will get a voucher for a meal. If you want more than that, there may be a plan in place if there’s enough food. It will be somewhat limited. Oh, and we may have some additional food surprises as well during the night that you can get in on!
What is the Purpose?
Why put on a Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween? First, and unapologetically, it gives us an opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection with the community. We are a church of outreach, taking seriously the command of Jesus to make disciples of the nations and baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Second, it provides a positive and safe atmosphere for kids to participate in the costumes and candy and craziness of Halloween without the darker and more destructive side. Avoiding the very appearance of evil is hard to do dressed up like a cannabalistic zombie.
And lastly, it’s fun! We want to have a good time, be a little dorky and silly, and invite the community to come have fun with us. More is better in this context, so we invite you to join us on Friday, Halloween night, starting at 6PM right here at Christway Church Huntsville.
